The dynamic RS series from Audi received a new model, the RS3 sportback, developed by quattro GmbH, which features an impressive turbocharging technology and a five-cylinder engine, reviving its passengers with 6,800 rpm, providing an average fuel consumption of just 9.1 liters per 100 km. This efficiency is due in large part to a delivery-on-demand oil pump and a regenerative system that recovers energy as the car decelerates.
Audi RS3 sportback occupies a distinctive position by its 19-inch wheels and fenders made of carbon fiber, while power is transmitted to the road via a seven-speed S tronic and quattro permanent all-wheel drive. The compact car weighs only 1,575 kg and emits 212 g CO2 per km.
The RS3 sportback takes curves with an impressive agility and stability as it is precisely guided by its responsive steering.
A vermicular-graphite cast iron, a lightweight material, but very strong was used to build the crankcase. The RS3 sportback provides stability and dynamics by delivering power to the road with efortless ease. Also, the dynamic style of the car is matched in the interior, which is entirely black and sports a number of RS3 logos. The sports seats are available in Fine Nappa leather with a silver contrasting stitching and the sports steering wheel is flat-bottomed and wrapped in leather also.
An array of standard equipment comes with the Audi RS3 sportback and includes rear parking system, climate control, Sport button, chorus radio system and xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights.
Featuring a base price in Germany of 49,900 euros, its deliveries become available in early 2011.
