BMW G1 V8 Hurricane RS by G-POWER

G-POWER specialists have offered a power boost to an already great car, a model based on the BMW 1-Series, the G1 V8 Hurricane RS. After a test drive performed by Christian Gebhardt, test drive editor, he observed that the model is capable of reaching a top speed of 314 km/h. This is actually the fastest BMW 1-Series in the world thanks to its V8 4.0-liter supercharged engine. Its output reaches 600 horsepower and 580 Nm of torque. All this power is being transferred to the wheels through a dual clutch transmission. This enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and to 200 km/h in 12.7 seconds and to reach a top speed of 330 km/h. Christian drove a prototype that had a top speed limiter in the ECU and this s why he did not managed to hit maximum speed.

G-POWER specialists have managed to develop a lot of fast cars and now, to celebrate 30 years of existence, the company developed the BMW G1 V8 Hurricane RS. The model will be built as a limited edition just like its production version. Only 30 units will see the light of the day. All the hard work had as purpose to improve the efficiency of the G-POWER supercharger system to the best possible performance. In the end they managed to obtain what they wanted; the supercharger system is capable of reducing the specific fuel consumption of the engine.

The modifications made to the engine include a handmade, stainless steel exhaust system that has been designed to fit under the compact body of the 1 M Coupe. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have used 20-inch G-POWER SILVERSTONE DIAMOND wheels covered in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires measuring 255/30 ZR 20 on the front axle and 295/25 ZR 20 on the rear one. The suspension package has been developed in close cooperation with KW and fits perfectly on the BMW G1 V8 HURRICANE RS. To handle the extra power, the engineers have offered high performance braking system that always provides maximum brake force and the braking point remains precise in any case.
