It seems that Bavarian specialists from BMW have decided to offer us more information on their new i3 Coupe Concept, a model that is scheduled to have its debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show at the end of this month, on the 29th to be more precise. The three-door model has now an improved exterior. Actually it received a new front fascia, new side skirts, but also restyled doors. The new Coupe also got an updated rear end with a revised bumper and a new tailgate. Even so, you will have no problems recognizing it because of its distinctive design common for an i variant. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered 20-inch alloy wheels covered in low resistance tires.
The new dimensions of the BMW i3 Coupe Concept are: 3.964 mm in length, 1.768 mm in width and 1.555 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2.570 mm. For the interior, the Germans have provided leather / wool seats, light eucalyptus wood trim, but also brushed aluminum accents to make it even better. The cabin also includes two individual rear seats, a digital instrument cluster and an iDrive infotainment system.
The model receives power from an electric motor capable of generating 170 horsepower, so 125 kW and 250 Nm of torque. This motor receives juice from a lithium-ion battery which, in fact, enables the model to travel up to 160 km on a single charge.
There is no way of knowing whether the new BMW i3 Coupe Concept will be sent for production or not because the carmaker did not decide anything on the matter, yet, but we will try and keep you informed. According to different specialists, this model would be a great option for expanding the i3 model range. What do you think?
