The year 2012 brings six BMW M3 DTM cars in order to highlight its comeback in the DTM. The design of Castrol EDGE and Aral Ultimate will be added to one of the cars, the Castrol EDGE BMW M3 DTM, thus marking the continuing partnership between BMW Motorsport and Castrol. BMW Motorsport Director Jens Marquardt, stated that for many years they had trusted the high-performance Castrol lubricants and had celebrated countless successes together on the racetrack and for that reason they were delighted to be able to build on that established partnership in the DTM. Michael Hansen, CEO Deutsche Castrol Vertriebsgesellschaft, also commented that the DTM was one of the most spectacular racing series worldwide and pushed the drivers, cars and teams to very limit. J?rgen Bl?mers, Marketing Director Rhine at Aral, said that the DTM cars had been using their Aral Ultimate high-performance fuel since 2005 and it would definitely be very exciting to see how the BMW M3 DTM performed in its first season as whatever happened, they were strongly convinced that the return of BMW to the DTM would make the series more enjoyable and attractive for the fans. Castrol EDGE is known to be Castrol's strongest and most advanced range of engine oils, performing wherever the car is driven. Its prime quality and reliability were tested both in lab and practice, on the most demanding racetracks in the world. Aral represents Germany's largest network of filling stations and has belonged to the international BP Group since 2002. It will continue to expand its research into premium fuel generations and to improve tried-and-tested fuels.
