Not long after new information was revealed earlier, the Bavarian carmaker BMW has unveiled their latest achievement, the new BMW M6 GranCoupe. The specialists were shooting to obtain the ultimate sports sedan. The model received an aggressive body kit that has a new front bumper; a carbon fiber reinforced plastic rear diffuser and also revised side skirts. The roof is also made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic and the M6 GranCoupe also comes with Shadow Line trim, a 4-tailpipe sports exhaust system and to transfer the output to the road, 20-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of interior, the Germans have offered different modifications, but not a lot. For example, the new BMW features Merino leather seats, an M steering wheel, Alcantara roof liner and also illuminated sill plates. As optional, the engineers have also provided a Bang & Olufsen audio system, GPS navigation and M multifunction seats, so that everyone leaves from their showrooms pleased.
The BMW M6 GranCoupe receives power from a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine capable of generating 560 horsepower and 680 Nm of torque. To transfer the output to the wheels, the specialists have offered a 7-speed M Double Clutch transmission. This actually helps the car accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and to reach an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. If the model comes with the M Package of the Driver it can reach a top speed of 305 km/h. For 100 km, the model needs 9.9 liters of fuel and the CO2 emission level reaches 232 g/km. This engine is not all the M6 has to offer, but it also comes with a sport-tuned suspension, an Active M Differential and a revised rack-and-pinion steering system. The model will go on sale in the spring of 2013 and it will cost EUR128.800 in Germany. Sales on the US market will begin in the summer.
