It seems that Manhart specialists never catch a brake. Only a few month earlier, they have revealed an upgrade program for the BMW M5 and now, another ones is ready, but this time for the BMW 1M Coupe. The stage name the Germans use for the new model is the BMW MH1 S Biturbo. The engineers first took care of the engine by updating the software and then offered a new air guide with a carbon air-box and custom downpipes. Of course, these are not all the modifications the new BMW received, but it also features now a larger water cooler and a bigger charging air cooler. In the end, its engine is capable of producing 465 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque, which means 125 horsepower more in comparison with the standard version of the model.
The list of modifications continues with a special MHR front spoiler, carbon motor cowl and trunk lid, new tail diffuser and also mirror caps made from the same lightweight material. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have offered 9x20 front wheels covered in Continental Sport Contact 5P 245/30 ZR20 tires and 10.5x20 rear wheels covered in 295/25 ZR20 high performance tires. In terms of interior, the Bavarian carmaker obtained performance seats and also an additional MHR display which will indicate all the important data like for example acceleration values, motor temperature and maximum torque used.
Manhart Racing came to life around thirty years ago and ever since they take very good care of the engines, offering them a great tune inclined towards performance. When developing the BMW MH1 S Biturbo, the engineers wanted to increase the performance of the serial 6-piston engine by biturbo charging. The driving experience they managed to obtain is really impressive. This is all the information available at the moment, but I think we can all agree the tuners have done a very good job with this new model.
