This year at the Paris motor Show, Cadillac will reveal its new achievement for the European market, the 2013 Cadillac ATS premium compact sedan. It seems that the carmaker plans to offer it for sale next month and the first customers will receive the keys of their cars before the end of this year, probably in December. Cadillac engineers offer the new ATS with three petrol engine options. The first one is the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder unit capable of generating 200 horsepower, the second unit is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four capable of producing 270 horsepower and last, but not least, we have the 3.6-liter V6 engine capable of developing 320 horsepower. The 2.0-liter turbo enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and all its output is being sent to the rear wheels.
The 328i sedan is the model that completes the version. It receives power from a 2.0-liter force-fed inline four capable of generating 240 horsepower. Cadillac specialists hope to improve the selling segment now with the introduction of the 2013 Cadillac ATS. This is what Cadillac Europe Managing Director, Wolfgang Schubert says. The new model will the perfect acquisition for the ones interested in a fun drive, in a car that is very easy to handle, so for a car that knows how to behave different, good different, of course.
Specialists are confident the 2013 Cadillac ATS will be capable of competing with its closest rivals. At the Auto Show, the carmaker will be displaying three European ATS in the production form. Here we will also have the opportunity to see the improved SRX crossover, the CTS V-Series sedan, sport wagon and coupe range and the Escalade Hybrid. This is all for now folks. More info will be released at a later date.
