At the end of this month the SEMA show will open its gates and here where a lot of automakers will present different new achievements. One of them is Chevrolet which promises to present different performance and personalization choices until November 2nd. It seems that the Americans will share its performance-oriented version of the 2013 Malibu Turbo Performance in shape of a new concept. The new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Turbo Performance Concept has as base the most powerful production Malibu ever made. Under the hood it hides a 2.0-liter supercharged four engine capable of producing 259 horsepower. This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds and to reach a top speed of 155 mph.
It has a Berlin Blue Tricoat exterior finish and thanks to a package that includes rocker panels, rear diffuser, a wing and a front splitter, the exterior seems to be more aggressive in terms of appearance. To transfer the power produced to the wheels, the model uses 20-inch alloy wheels covered in Pirelli P-Zero 255 / 35 ZR 20 tires. The aero package also has specially made lower grille and fog lamp grilles with red surrounds, turbo badges and clear tail lamps lenses. In terms of interior, the American have provided RECARO sport seats covered in Jet Black leather and Navy Blue suede with red accent stitching. The steering wheel, door panels and instrument panel are also covered in the same materials. The new 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Turbo Performance Concept is capable of greater performance thanks to a HiPer Strut front suspension and rear springs, a prototype cold-air intake system and 6-piston front brake calipers with two-piece cross-drilled rotors. We only know that the 2.0-liter unit is capable of greater power, but the specialists did not reveal any specific figures.
At the same event, Chevrolet will reveal a new 2014 Impala Concept and also different Corvette and Camaro concepts.
