Chevrolet Trailblazer

The 2012 Chevrolet Trailblazer represents a very refined sport utility vehicle which had its international debut at the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show in the Middle East, as a preview of Chevrolet's latest SUV offering, which is planned to hit the car markets all over the world, beginning with Thailand in early 2012. It smartly combines the efficiency and ride comfort of a crossover with the hauling and towing capability of a body-on-frame SUV. GM Middle East Operations President and Managing Director John Stadwick, stated that the vehicle represented a reflection of the importance of the Middle East market for General Motors, that a car as important as TrailBlazer, was making its world premiere at that show, being one of the toughest and biggest members of the Chevrolet family. Its design remains faithful to the production version, despite the fact that it is only a show vehicle. The TrailBlazer provides the strength, design, capability and refinement needed to compete with the world's best off-road vehicles. Brad Merkel, GM's global vehicle line executive for midsize trucks and SUVs, commented that the growing markets of the world wanted flexibility and that implied capability and power combined with efficiency and comfort. The visual strength in the face of the vehicle is emphasized by the higher-mounted dual projector headlamps which are positioned beneath the power dome. The premium appearance is further enhanced by the tri-coat pearlescent white exterior paint and integrated LED front and rear fog lamps. Matt Noone, director of design for GM do Brasil, also commented that TrailBlazer managed to deliver a great combination of capabilities, from negotiating off-road trails to daily city driving, that they wanted to convey visually. He added that they made the seating both flexible and intuitive with an authentic third row where people could sit comfortably for long trips. Its other features comprise digital climate control system, a dual-zone, as well as the latest in infotainment technology.
