Chrysler decided to launch a new special edition of the Ypsilon and apparently it will go on sale this month. Its name is Black&Red and its main objective is to attract new and different customers to the model range and to the whole brand for that matter. The model is available with a choice of three engines: a 0.9-liter TwinAir and 1.2-liter petrol and 1.3-liter MultiJet diesel. It runs on 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels and features fog lamps, black glass and body-colored side skirts as standard. The price is different and starts at GBP 12.750 for the 1.2-petrol, continues with the 0.9-TwinAir at GBP13.950 and goes up to GBP14.950 for the 1.3-MultiJet.
Chrysler Ypsilon Black & Red Edition review:
CHRYSLER LAUNCHES NEW YPSILON BLACK&RED
An exciting new special edition version of Chrysler's first supermini, Ypsilon, has just been announced for sale in the UK this month (February).
Called Black&Red, this latest edition is designed to attract new and different customers to the model range and also to the Chrysler brand, which has just been relaunched in the UK.
Appealing to a broader audience, new Black&Red not only looks stunning, but is packed with new features that focus on style, technology and value for money.
"We're delighted to be launching this new addition to the popular Ypsilon line-up," says Nigel Land, brand director, Jeep Chrysler UK. "With additional equipment worth more than Pound3000 packed into a car that starts from just Pound12,750, we believe Black&Red will become a valuable member of the Ypsilon family."
Available with a choice of three engines - 0.9-litre TwinAir and 1.2-litre petrol, and 1.3-litre MultiJet diesel - new Black&Red receives a raft of standard interior features including black and red fabric seat upholstery, dashboard and door linings, air conditioning, Blue&Me Bluetooth, and a 360-degree hi-fi system.
Outside, the car gets black and red bi-colour paint, 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, fog lamps, black glass and body-coloured side skirts, all as standard.
And to make the new car even more desirable, Chrysler is offering a zero deposit, Pound199 per month finance deal on the 1.2-litre version (Pound219 0.9-litre TwinAir, Pound239 1.3-litre).
On the road pricing for new Ypsilon Black&Red is as follows:
1.2 Petrol - Pound12,750
0.9 TwinAir - Pound13,950
1.3 MultiJet - Pound14,950
- I think the Ypsilon is a quite funky little car. It is Chrysler in the UK and Lancia in Europe
