The well known French carmaker Citroen decided to start a strategy for international growth and to do this developed two new models: he Citroen C4 L and the Citroen C-Elysee. The two will be offered as part of the global brand strategy and so, they will be launched in selected international markets. On the 28th of June, this year, the carmaker will launch the DS line in China. This was already introduced in Europe, Russia and also Latin America. Citroen took this important step to demonstrate that it is a global brand. The C segment is the one developed more as part of the strategy and this is why the Citroen C4 L and the Citroen C-Elysee are the main focus of the engineers who developed them for the Mediterranean basin Russia and China. The Citroen C4 L represents the top of the C segment offering a range-topping finish, an exceptionally relaxing ride and onboard comfort.
The refined interior, all occupants can enjoy the pleasures of first-class travel. In terms of technology, the carmaker offered hands-free access and start, touch-screen GPS, air ioniser and full heated windscreen and revised camera. It will receive power from the THP 150 & 170 petrol engines and from the VTi 135. All will send the power to the wheels through a new automatic and sequential 6-speed transmission. The building process will take place in every zone where it will be sold. So, the Chinese customers will have it before the end of this year and the Russian ones before the middle of 2013.
The compact saloon market is actually the biggest automotive segment in the world and it represents one third of all worldwide passenger car sales. The engineers managed to obtain an incredible result and the strategy the carmaker implemented could have the success it hopes for.
