We only need to have patience as Dacia will announce gradually the price list for all its new models sold in the UK. We had the opportunity to find out the price tags for the Sandero supermini and the Duster compact SUV. If you do not remember yet, they were GBP5.995 and GBP8.995 respectively. According to the Renault Group-owned brand, the new Dacia Sandero Stepway will be available for purchase starting May 2013. The starting price was established at GBP7.995 and it can go up to GBP10.975. This means it will cost GBP600 more than the rest of the Sandero vehicles.
The new Sandero Stepway is actually a crossover version of the Sandero 5-door supermini, but with 40 mm extra ground clearance. It also looks more powerful from the outside thanks to the black body cladding, front and rear scuff plates and satin chrome roof bars. The new Stepway features black wheel arch extenders and to transfer the output to the road it uses 16-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of engines, the carmaker offers two options. There is a direct-injection, turbocharged 3-cylinder 0.9-liter capable of generating 89 horsepower that has a fuel consumption of 52.3 mpg UK and a CO2 emission level of 125 g/km. The other option is a 1.5-liter dCi90 capable of producing 89 horsepower, that uses 70.6 mpg UK and that has a CO2 emission level of 105 g/km. There are two trim levels available: the Ambiance and the Laureate. The first one includes Bluetooth, plus driver, ESC, passenger and front side airbags all offered as standard. The second one provides air conditioning, full electric windows, electric heated door mirrors, and a chrome front grille speed limiter, rear parking sensors and a lot more. If you found the information useful and convincing, try to find out more on the new Dacia Sandero Stepway and maybe you will even purchase one for yourself.
