The American carmaker Ford developed the Ford B-MAX. The model was built in Romania and it seems that it will go on sale in the UK starting this September with a starting price of GBP 12.995. The specialists offer different variants when it comes to the engine. Buyers can choose from the 3-cylinder 1.0-liter EcoBoost, the 1.4-liter and the 1.6-liter gasoline unit. The diesel variants include the 1.5-liter diesel and the 1.6-liter Duratorq diesel as well. The new Ford B-MAX model is available in three trim levels including Studio, Zetec and Titanium. Apparently if equipped with the 1.0-liter engine, the models have a fuel consumption of 55.4 mpg UK or 57.7 mpg UK for the models that also have the stop-start system.
The CO2 emission level reaches 119 g/km and 114 g/km, respectively. The most environment-friendly version features the 1.6-liter Duratorq TDCi engine capable of 70.6 mpg fuel consumption and 104 g/km CO2 emission level. This engine is only available for the Titanium trim level. The power is being sent to the wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.6-liter gasoline is actually the only one that has a different one. The carmaker offers a 6-speed Powershift automatic one. In terms of equipment, the Ford B-MAX comes with flat rear seats, DAB and fold-flat passenger seat. The mid-range models have a starting price of GBP 15.600 and feature LED daytime running lights, leather trimmed gear knob and steering wheel, 15-inch alloy wheels and also chrome finishes for grille surrounds and for the window. The Titanium sends the power to the road through 16-inch alloy wheels and features cruse control, rain-sensing lights and windscreen wipers, new stereo with multi-function display. More information on the new limited edition Ford B-MAX will be revealed at a later date.
