Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

American carmaker Ford thought of developing a program for the F-150 SVT Raptor owners helping them understand better the capabilities of their car. This is how the Ford Racing Raptor Assault program was born. Drivers have the opportunity to go behind the wheel of the factory off-road car at Miller Motorsports Park. Participants will have a three hour Raptor Asault Experience that includes driving in both the rock crawling and off road courses. The carmaker also offers a one-day school. The ones that own a Raptor will also get some discounts. The three hour tour costs $300 and the price can go up to $1.395 for the full day.

The Ford F-150 SVT Raptor was introduced for the first time in 2009 and since then it is the only production-ready car on the market that combines the best of on-road driving and Ford through truck capability with high-performance off-road ability. It is also the best selling specialty truck ever built by Ford as the specialists managed to sell more then 28.000 F-150 SVT Raptors. Sales have increased by 40% last month in comparison with the same period last year. The model has now new forged wheels that secure the edges of a tire to the wheel between two surfaces. In 2011, the carmaker started offering a grille-mounted camera to improve the visibility of the driver when climbing over rocks and other obstacles.

The F-150 SVT Raptor is available with a 6.2-liter V8 engine capable of generating 411 horsepower and 434 lb. ft. of torque. All the output is being transferred to the wheels through an electronic 6-speed automatic transmission. The Raptor Assault program allows drivers of all skill levels to get behind the wheel and start their extreme off-road experience. The four-wheel drive system includes electronic shift-on-the-fly capability for the transfer case. More information is available on their official website.
