UK customers now have the possibility to purchase the new Kia ceed Sportswagon. The carmaker established the starting price of GBP 16.895 which can go up to GBP 24.795. The car is also available with a 1.6-liter CRDi capable of producing 126 BHP and 260 Nm of torque. This unit uses a 6-speed automatic transmission to send the power to the wheels. The smaller engine is fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox, but also features the Intelligent Stop & Go fuel-saving, emissions-reducing engine and the stop / start technology.
It was revealed for the first time at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show alongside the ceed hatchback. The two share different elements in terms of style, quality, technology, equipment and safety. The Kia ceed Sportswagon is only available for the European market. This unit offers a fuel economy of 67.3 mpg UK and 109 g/km CO2 emission level. In comparison with the previous SW, this new model is 15 mm longer, 40 mm lower and 10 mm narrower. The luggage capacity if seats are up is of 528 liters and with the seats folded flat it increases to 1642 liters. The carmaker also provided sliding aluminum luggage area rails and a high-level luggage barrier net. The specialists offer as standard on all models roof rails. Inside the cabin we can find soft-touch surfaces, high-quality materials, subtle red ambient lighting and tactile door grab handles. The sealing strips on the door sills have been modified to make it more difficult for noise to enter the cabin.
In terms of active and passive safety equipment the model features Electronic Stability Control, Hill-start Assist Control, and Vehicle Stability Management. The engineers have also offered six airbags and Emergency Stop Signalling. A Lane Departure Warning System and a Parallel Park Assist System are also available.
