Lotus Evora GX

Lotus carmaker worked very hard this last period of time building a new race car, the Evora GX. The reason for developing it is to compete in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series and to get really good results. The new car has a new aerodynamic body kit, yellow headlights and a rear wing, but this is not all. The carmaker also has Plexiglas windows, a new fuel filler system, but also a roll cage. The doors, the roof and also the engine cover are all made of carbon fiber.

Under the hood it hides a 4.0-liter V6 engine capable of developing 440 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque. All this output is being transferred to the wheels through a 6-speed sequential transmission. Thanks to this kind of gearbox, the race car is being enables to obtain great results in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series. The Lotus Evora GX will only be built to order and it has a starting price of $335.000.

The model offers a pure driving experience and the new body kit makes it even more aggressive. To fit other series requirements, ABS and traction control have been removed and so the driver will have more work to do in proving its driving skills. These are all the information available of the Lotus Evora GX race car so far, but soon the carmaker will reveal more as the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series competition is getting closer.
