Lotus carmaker has developed a new model, a new special edition of the Evora, the new Lotus Evora Sports Racer, which is a new coupe that has a mid-engine. The specialists claim this is an incredible model that offers a lot of excitement when on the road. The carmaker offers three options in terms of color: Aspen White, Carbon Grey, Nightfall Blue and Ardent Red. All these also come with contrasting gloss black roof, side sills, front apron, rear diffuser and mirror pods. We can also see black forged alloy wheels that come with red or black calipers. We will find the models as standard in 2+2 configuration, with Premium Sports leather seats in black with red stitching or even red with black stitching, gunmetal-finished dashboard panels and last, but not least Slate Grey Suede trim on the dashboard, center console and on the doors.
As standard, the new Lotus Evora Sports Racer gets the Sports Pack as standard and this includes increased rev limit, a sportier setting for the Dynamic Performance Management stability control system, a sports mode for sharper throttle response, and a rear diffuser and cross-drilled brake discs. The specialists did not think this was enough to please the customers and this is why the Tech Pack was offered as well, which consists of an infotainment system with improved audio, Bluetooth, USB and iPod connectivity, a DVD player and a 7-inch touch screen. The list continues with rear parking sensors, cruise control, power folding mirrors, a tire pressure monitoring system and a reversing camera.
In terms of pricing the British customers will have to pay GBP57.900 for the model equipped with the normally-aspirated version capable of generating 280 PS and GBP65.900 for the supercharger S capable of producing 350 PS. Yes, it is quite a lot, but according to the manufacturer the Sports Racer saves buyers GBP6.450 and GBP7.150 respectively.
