Lotus Exige V6 Cup

The Lotus Exige is one of the best race cars on the market today. The carmaker introduced another model for the ones who want more. The engineers have developed the new Lotus Exige V6 Cup. Under the hood, the model hides a 3.5-liter V6 engine capable of developing 346 horsepower. This power plant enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. The Lotus Dynamic Performance Management allows Touring, Sport and Race settings for the engine and this transfers the power to the road. The carmaker equipped the new Lotus Exige V6 Cup with improved aerodynamics in the front fascia and rear diffuser. The model also uses a fully adjustable suspension that reaches the road with special wheels covered in P-Zero Trofeo tires offered by Pirelli.

This is not all the specialists have prepared. The race gear also features a roll cage and a kill switch, FIA-approved fire extinguisher, removable steering wheel, HANS-compatible seats with four or six point safety harnesses and tow points. Lotus offers a Track Day version with an established price of GBP 62.995, which includes VAT. There is also another variant, a hard-nosed Competition-Spec with a starting price of GBP 74.995. It seems that these models will be ready for the market in December.

The carmaker will build it as a limited edition, so only 20 units will see the light of day. The Lotus Exige V6 Cup was developed to compete in different Cup series worldwide. This weekend at the Lotus festival at Brands Hatch, the version prepared for the North American customers will be on display. The model will be well received for sure. These are all the information revealed by the carmaker so far on the new Exige V6 Cup.
