Well-known British carmaker McLaren has decided to offer the first information on their new model, the P1 concept, before its official debut that will take place at the Paris Motor Show. The specialists have developed it to be the best car for the driver in the world. It previews the F1 successor, a model which is expected to appear soon as is it scheduled to go on sale sometime in the next 12 months.
In terms of styling, the model borrowed a lot of elements from the MP4-12C, but to be really honest, it is a lot more aggressive all because of the ventilated hood, the special rear end and the sculpted sides. Unfortunately there is no information about its performance, but one McLaren official said that they do not necessary want to develop the fastest model in absolute top speed, but what they want is the quickest and most rewarding series production road car on a circuit. This new McLaren P1 Concept managed to demonstrate the talent and dedication of their engineers and also, the supercar is a true statement in terms of technology and ability as well. Managing Director Antony Sheriff said they plan to turn the McLaren P1 Concept in the most exciting, most technologically advanced, most capable and most dynamically accomplished supercar ever made. The results speak for themselves.
Nothing is for sure yet, like we said before, but the carmaker might power the new model with a 3.8-liter V8 engine, but also with a Kinetic Energy Recovery System that together might offer an output of 963 horsepower. This output will enable the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and to reach a top speed of around 384 km/h. More information will be available on the 27th of this month, when a McLaren Automotive press conference will take place.
