The 2012 Mercedes E63 Estate US Version integrates a new audio headunit with a 5.8-inch color display, Bluetooth audio steaming, phonebook download, album cover art and USB port. Most 2012 models receive more powerful direct-injection gasoline engines that include a new turbo four-cylinder, a bi-turbo V8 and a normally aspirated V6,equipped with a more fuel-efficient 7-speed automatic transmission. The C-Class sedan was restyled with aluminum hood, an increased standard equipment, rain-sensing wipers, new headlights, bumpers and grille. Its safety features integrate standard ATTENTION ASSIST, ADAPTIVE BRAKE with HOLD function. The C-Class Coupe debuts with bold AMG styling, panoramic sunroof, steering wheel shift paddles and front seats featuring integrated headrests. The C250 Sport is powered by the new direct-injection 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbo, which produces 201 HP and 229 lb.-ft., while the C350 Sport receives its power from the 3.5-liter V6 which delivers 302 HP and 273 lb.-ft.
The CL550 4MATIC continues with the 4.6-liter direct-injection biturbo V8, delivering 429 HP and 516 lb.-ft., while the CL63 AMG receives power from the 5.5-liter direct-injection biturbo AMG V8, which raises an output of 536 HP and 590 lb.-ft.
The CLS-Class Four-Door Coupe makes its impressive debut with a dramatic styling, two new V8 engines, electromechanical steering, aluminum doors and world-first active LED headlights.
The E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet comprise new available assistance systems that include both active and passive Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Assist. Other highlights include new steering wheels with standard shift paddles, color instrument cluster display, standard LED DRLs, more fuel-efficient 7-speed transmission and media interface moved to the center console. The SLS AMG is a developed super sports car with aluminum body and high-performance powertrain featuring a hand-built V8 engine (563hp, 479 lb-ft) with front-mid layout and dry sump lubrication mated to a carbon fiber driveshaft and advanced dual-clutch transaxle transmission with 4 driving modes. Its new equipment boasts standard Blind Spot Assist, optional 3-mode AMG Adaptive Suspension and AMG Performance Media including driving telemetry and G-Force measurement.
