Mercedes Starcruiser GT 550 by Hofele-Design

The Mercedes-Benz M Class received a tuning package from German aftermarket specialists from Hofele-Design. In the end, they obtained the Starcruiser GT 550, the fully improved model series. The specialists have started their process with the exterior of the ML. They have developed a 14-piece wide body kit that includes LED daytime running lights, side skirts, a rear apron that features a diffuser shrouding quad stainless-steel tailpipes, a tailgate spoiler and various trim elements. The list continues with a new front bumper that features larger air intakes and front and rear fender extension.

The ones interested in the body kit should know that the aero package can also be purchased separately for EUR 6.500. This means around $ 8.300. Hofele-Design engineers have prepared 20-inch and 22-inch Reverso II alloy wheels to complete the exterior appearance. In terms of interior, the model features hand-stitched leather surfaces in three different shades that cover the seats, steering wheel, front and rear arm rests and door panels.

When it comes to performance of the Mercedes-Benz Starcruiser GT 550, the German tuners have developed an electronic module to lower the air suspension that can then lower the height of the ride by 40 mm if the car is running at speeds of up to 80 km/h. The Hofele-Design engineers offer two engine kits for the ML250 and ML350 BlueTEC model powered by diesel engines. After the modifications, the model are capable of reaching outputs of 308 horsepower up from 255 horsepower and a maximum torque of 700 Nm up from 620 Nm. These are all the information available on the tuning package offered by Germans from Hofele-Design for the ML Mercedes-Benz, package that in the end created the Mercedes-Benz Starcruiser GT 550.
