The 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS by Carlsson shows a sophisticated exterior and coupe-style contours and will be presented at the Geneva Motor Show, in March, providing the luxury saloon with a touch of athletic elegance, underscored further by the stainless steel grille inserts.
The vehicle's dynamic transformation was continued by the side mouldings with their built-in air inlets, while extra downforce and better contact with the road are provided by the rear spoiler. An improved performance features both diesel engine and CLS petrol models thanks to the CK35 performance kit which raises the output of the CLS 350 CGI from 306 hp to 333 hp, while the maximum torque was increased from 370 to 410 Nm.
The Carlsson C-Tronic DIESEL POWER additional control unit boosts the power of the CLS 350 CDI to 320 hp as compared to the standard 265 hp, and the torque achieved 780 Nm from 650 Nm.
The sporty contours are enhanced by the new alloy wheels attached to the vehicle and they appear available in three colours and in a combination of five simple and five double spokes.
The three surface finishes available - Titanium Silver, Brilliant Silver and Graphite Grey can be matched to the Carlsson 1/10 wheel depending on one's taste and vehicle. Furthermore, the vehicle was lowered by up to 30 millimetres due to an intelligent suspension lowering system. The interior was perfectly embellished with aluminum pedals, Alcantara sports steering wheel, proving a dynamic and stylish appearance, as well as a refined sense of taste when it comes to Mercedes design.
