Mercedes-Benz SLS Roadster by Vath Automobiltechnik

Tuning specialists from Vath Automobiltechnik managed to develop a tuning program for German Mercedes-Benz SLS Roadster. Ever since November of last year, the SLS Roadster was the first model developed independently by AMG for sale. To improve efficiency, the engineers offered different elements to obtain it. Some of them include installation of compressor kits and an air box, individual tuning of the electronics of the engine and the increase of the maximum speed. After the modifications, the model is capable if developing 515 kW and 702 or 850 Nm of torque.

This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and to reach a top speed of 330 km/h. To handle the extra power the tuners offered the Mercedes-Benz SLS Roadster brake discs of more than 405 mm on VA and the steel flax lines. Offered as an option, a stainless steel exhaust system with throttle control is also available. The power is being transferred to the road through three-part forged VATH 9.5x20 inches wheels covered in 265/30-20 tires on the front axle and 12x20 inches with 315/25-20 tires on the rear one.

One of the highlights is a complete suspension with AMG RIDE CONTROL also developed by the tuning company. For a safe and comfortable handling on the race tracks and on the road, the engineers offered shock absorbers that are being adjusted depending on the height and hardness. Elements like front spoiler, boot spoiler and side skirts are made of high quality visible carbon. The brake ventilation is also made of carbon. The steering wheel is covered in leather and it is possible to be made of carbon or fine-wood. The speedometer of the car shows a top speed of 400 km/h. The modifications offered by VATH Automobiltechnik cost EUR85.130 including VAT.
