There were different rumors saying that Pagani carmaker decided to replace its Zonda with the Huayra, but it turns out, they did not. Apparently one of the most expensive carmakers continues its job by building Zondas for the extremely rich people who continue to want them. It seems that the carmaker started developing the supercar in different extreme variants.
Now, one of the latest ones is the Pagani Zonda R Evo. This particular model will have its first official public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, according to GTSpirit. The new R Evo was built only for the track and it contains some of the best features of the existing Zonda R with the power produced of the Zonda 760 RS. This means only one thing. The new Pagani Zonda R Evo will have competition-spec suspension, aerodynamics, brakes and rolling stock and the V12 engine capable of developing 760 horsepower that was built by German Mercedes AMG for Pagani.
Just for the sake of argument, the model is capable of twice the output of the original Zonda C12 that can be seen on the roads at the turn of the millennium. It seems that the Zonda R Evo can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.7 seconds and I can reach a top speed of 218 mph. Bernd Schneider, former Formula One driver and multiple DTM champion is expected to drive this last development of Pagani at the end of this month at the March of Earl estate. The creator of this supercar did not let down its fans and buyers, just as expected.
