French carmaker Peugeot introduced the 208 hatch and offered it for sale in March this year. Also, at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show, the specialists have presented the Urban Crossover Concept and now, at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, time has come to see the Peugeot 2008 Concept for the first time.
It seems that it will go on sale first in France, followed by China and Brazil, a bit later. The new concept combines agility, compactness and versatility; it measures 4.14 m in length and 1.74 m in width. It is painted in fluorescent yellow with Dark Chrome details. The front was refined and the bonnet and wings make you feel safe and protected. The side lines give the impression of a dynamic vehicle. Thanks to the sophisticated sculpted wings and sides the model reveals its natural athletic qualities. The new Peugeot 2008 Concept has large wheels which with their design it represents a life without restraints. From the side we can see the curve of the roof that accentuates the upper decoration of the rear doors. Also the aluminum spoiler and roof bars offer the appearance of a vehicle specially designed for leisure and speed.
Under the hood, the model features the new generation 3-cylinder petrol engine. The 2008 Concept is very powerful and dynamic and this is because the 1.2-liter 3-cylinder features a turbo and direct injection. Even though it is powerful enough, it remains lightweight and this is why it is so versatile. The engine is capable of generating 110 BHP and also it does not use a lot of fuel and the CO2 emission level is not high. So even though it is powerful and has low CO2 emission, the new Peugeot 2008 Concept offers real driving pleasure for all its occupants.
