Time has come for the German carmaker Porsche to add a new member to the Cayenne lineup. Not long ago, the specialists have revealed the fact that they want to introduce the new Cayenne S Diesel. The new model will be available with a twin-turbo 4.2-liter V8 engine capable of developing 382 BHP and a maximum torque of 850 Nm. This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds and to reach a top speed of 157 mph. According to the carmaker, the new Porsche Cayenne S diesel will have a fuel consumption of 8.3 liters / 100 km and the CO2 emission level will reach 218 g/km. Another interesting fact about this new achievement is that it is the only SUV powered by a V8 engine in the world that comes with the auto start / stop function. The provided range overpasses 745 miles thanks to the 100-liter fuel tank.
The carmaker plans to introduce the new Porsche Cayenne S diesel on the European market at the beginning of next year. The ones interested should know that the manufacturer has established the starting price at GBP 58.243 for the British customers and EUR 77.684 for the German ones. Both prices include VAT. In terms of standard equipment, the new Cayenne S diesel comes with dual-zone automatic climate control, leather interior, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors and the Porsche Traction Management. The list of new elements continues with a 7-inch touch screen display and front and rear parking sensors. Because we mentioned the output the engine is capable of generating, you should also know that the German model uses 18-inch alloy wheels to transfer the power to the road.
The model combines dynamic performance and efficiency. Porsche offers its customers the possibility to improve their driving skills by participating in a complimentary course at the Porsche Experience Center in Silverstone. The Porsche Cayenne S diesel provides the most pulling power of any Cayenne currently on sale.
