2012 Porsche Facebook-themed Cayman S review and pictures

Facebook is a common language for a lot of people. Carmaker Porsche reached 2 milestone and they have decided to dedicate their celebration to all of the ones that stood beside them offering support and feedback. Everyone was asked to submit their profile picture and, so, to build a mosaic on a Porsche model. This was actually a very good and interesting idea. Also the carmaker asked fans to vote their favorite historic racing livery and the winner was the Porsche 917 K with the Salzburg livery, red-white. This model was the one that actually won the first overall victory in Le Mans. After gathering all pictures recreating the livery of the 917, the carmaker will place it in the Porsche Museum until the end of February, 27th to be more precise.

2,000,000 Facebook Fans Celebration Cayman S Revealed

When the Porsche Facebook community reached the 2 million milestone, we decided to dedicate our celebration to you. We asked our Facebook community to submit their profile pictures to be part of a mosaic on a Porsche model.

Our fans were asked to vote for their favorite historic racing livery. They chose the iconic Porsche 917 K with the red-white Salzburg livery, known best for delivering Porsche's first overall victory in Le Mans with Richard Attwood and Hans Herrmann behind the wheel.

We used the collected Facebook portraits to recreate the 917 livery to be placed on a mystery model for display in the Porsche Museum until January 27.
