French carmaker Renault revealed their forth generation Clio and it will be available to order starting November 1st 2012. It will be launched next year on February 1st. The new model receives a new design and it is available as a five-door model. In comparison with its predecessor, it is lighter by 100 kg even if it is wider and longer. The British customers can purchase it starting with GBP10.595, but the price can go up to GBP16.095. Actually, if the customer wants more of the options the carmaker offers, the price can be even higher. As standard, Renault provides front, side and curtain airbags, audio system with Bluetooth, Electronic Stability Control and Electronic Traction Control, adjustable steering wheel and cruise control, electronic front windows and door mirrors.
As optional, customers can choose rear parking camera, a panoramic fixed glass sunroof, but also an extensive range of personalization elements both for the interior and exterior. In terms of power train, the new Renault Clio Mk4 will be available with a 1.2-liter petrol capable of developing 74 horsepower that has a 2.7 mpg fuel economy improvement and 8 g/km less CO2 emissions in comparison with the current model found on the market.
Other variants include a 0.9-liter turbocharged 30cylinder petrol capable of generating 89 horsepower and a 1.5-liter dCi 90. Each is available in ECO variants. This ECO package costs GBO250 extra and it includes 15-inch wheels covered in ultra-low rolling resistance tires to send the output to the road, bespoke gear ratios, specific pedal mapping and a lot more. According to the carmaker, the new Renault Clio Estate will not be available for the UK market. When it comes to the price, the French specialists will reveal it next year in February, maybe before the showroom launch.
