Seat Mii

The 2012 Seat Mii is considered to be the perfect companion for urban mobility, showing a driver-oriented interior as well as a large number of innovative functions. The perfect automobile, the Mii, is supposed to make life much easier due to its high efficiency, compelling utility as well as exceptional driving fun. Its sales are scheduled to begin in Spain, which is SEAT's home market, before the end of the year and the rest of Europe is going to receive the car model in spring 2012. The two-door version hits the market at the end of 2011, while the four-door one is going to follow in 2012. Furthermore, exemplary efficiency and light-footed agility are guaranteed by the intelligent combination of low weight, 854 kg more exactly, and the all-new 1.0-litre petrol engines with 44 and 55 kW. The CO2 emissions of only 97 g/km make the car a leader in its segment, while the City Safety Assist is an important active safety feature. James Muir, President of SEAT, commented that the new Mii was the perfect partner for everyday urban life, being young and fresh as it had been built to the finest quality. It is an important addition to the SEAT portfolio, showing a next step in the company strategy. Despite its 251 litres volume, which can increase to 951 litres when the rear seat back is folded, the Mii offers plenty of space for four. Dr. Matthias Rabe, SEAT Vice President for Research and Development, also stated that the Mii beautifully combined innovative technologies with an incredibly well-balanced overall feel, although it was only 3.56 metres long. Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, the new Head of SEAT Design, said that the new Mii breathed the very spirit of its remarkable hometown, being modern, yet timeless with every detail being precisely defined, resulting in a sporty chic and design quality. The unique functions of the SEAT Portable System include the Eco-trainer, Shift display, engine speed recommendations, average values and consumption profile, all of them helping the Mii owner to drive particularly economically. The new generation of engine is hidden under the bonnet, the compact three-cylinder with a one-litre displacement, which ensures compelling dynamics and light-footed agility through its two outputs of 44 and 55 kW. SEAT is the market leader in Spain, and in 2010 reached a turnover amounting to 4.7 billion Euros, with total sales of 339,500 vehicles.
