Mosler carmaker had a whole plan ahead, but as you know anything is possible. In the end, the specialists managed to built not a lot, but only one 2012 RaptorGTR. Why? Well, because of the financial crisis that has been affecting the company these days. For the ones that do not know yet, this new Mosler RaptorGTR is a real supercar powered by a very big 7.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine capable of generating 838 horsepower. This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.6 seconds and to reach a top speed of 240 mph.
In theory, if the carmaker had not encountered the financial problems the car would have been available with an optional CubeGTR package. This would have increased the output to an impressive 1212 horsepower. The 0-62 mph acceleration time would have dropped to 2.2 seconds. The output of the new Mosler RaptorGTR does not sound superlative compared with the 1200 horsepower Bugatti Veyron SuperSport, but horsepower is only half of the equation. The model was developed by Supercar Engineering in cooperation with Mosler and it was fully built by Mosler Automotive. The 2012 Mosler RaptorGTR was intended to be the next model to extend the Mosler line, but because of all the problems, especially the financial ones, the factory became idle after the first RaptorGTR was completed and sold to Supercar Engineering on August 25, 2011.
The starting price for the new 2012 model was established at $700.000 and it is marketed in China, Russia, UAE, Saudi Arabia and North America. When it comes to its interior, the specialists offer the possibility to choose what ever suits the owner better. Please enjoy the photo gallery prepared.
