Most of us think of boxy commercial vehicles when we hear of delivery vans. Of course it happened before to see models like the Audi TT, the Vauxhall Corsa turned from regular passenger models into light commercial vehicles. Apparently there is no precise rule when it comes to delivery vans. SsangYong manufactured the Korando Sports and the Rexton and now, time has come for the specialists to develop a third light commercial vehicle that has as base a passenger car. We are talking about the new Korando CSX which apparently is available on the UK market. The carmaker has established a starting price of GBP 15.995 on the road. This sum does not include the VAT.
How did SsangYong manufacturer managed to transform the passenger SUV into a delivery van? It seems that the secret stands in the darkening of the rear side windows and the elimination of the rear seat bench. This way the specialists create a completely flat load area with a total volume of 1.312 cubic liters. Apparently, between the wheel arches, the SsangYong Korando features a load deck length of 152.5 cm and 96.5 cm. the payload weighs 433 kg and it is capable of pulling a 2 ton trailer.
The engineers have provided a Demand 4x4 system, ESP with Hill Start Assist as standard and mud and show tires, so that it handles all kinds of weather. The new model receives power from a 2.0-liter diesel capable of generating 147 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque. The CO2 emission level reaches 157 g/km. People with different business needs can chose the SsangYong Korando, the third light commercial vehicle to joint the SsangYong lineup. It is very practical and in the same time affordable.
