Suzuki Grand Vitara Facelift for the UK

We all know Suzuki had a rough period and had to retire from America. The good news though is that the European customers still enjoy it. The future is a little uncertain, but for now Suzuki can be found on the European market. As announced a few weeks earlier, in October, the carmaker introduced a new model, the 2013 Suzuki Jimny and now, time has come for the specialists to offer us even more. To be more precise we are talking about a facelift version of their well-known Suzuki Grand Vitara that is scheduled to go on sale as a 2013 model in the UK a bit later this month.

The carmaker established a starting price of GBP15.995 for the SZ3 equipped with a 1.6-liter engine and which has 3 doors. We had the opportunity to see the 2013 Suzuki Grand Vitara at the Moscow International Motor Show a few months earlier. The engineers have offered a restyled fascia with a new grille sporting a different design. The new model also gets a new bumper with revised fog lamps.

The 5-door SZ5 models got headlight black accents and to transfer the output to the road, the engineers have fitted 17-inch or 18-inch alloy wheels. A lot of customers have asked for 16-inch spare wheels covered in 225/70 tires on the tailgate and the carmaker offered this option on a temporary basis. These increase the length by 7.8 inches on the 5-door models and 6.7 inches on the 3-door one. In terms of interior, know that the specialists have provided new design seat trims for all variants. Inside the SZ5 5-door models we will find a 6.1 inch touch screen Color Navigation System offered as standard.

Moving on to the engine, know that the 1.9-liter DDiS diesel unit also got an upgraded emissions control system that actually helps reduce CO2 emissions from 179 g/km to 174 g/km. The combined fuel economy is also modified from 41.5 mpg UK to 42.8 mpg.
