Toyota Hilux Facelift

The 2012 Toyota Hilux facelift dominates the European sales for the third consecutive year, totallling 21,866 vehicles sold in 2010, which translates into 25 % of the market share.
Improving the model's famous durability, quality and reliability, Toyota introduced a new design with the launch of the Hilux 2012. The result is an improved sensory quality for the interior, one that ensures high levels of convenience for the driver and the passengers. The breadth and roominess of the cabin are reinforced by the horizontal centre instrument cluster, while the adoption of uniformly darker finishes featuring a greater colour consistency, adds a sense of taste to the interior of the car. The redesign of the exterior focuses on the front which features a new bonnet, headlamps, radiator grille together with a front bumper. The new door mirrors, the redesigned 15" and 17" steel and alloy wheels as well as the newly designed front and rear wings, further enhance the vehicle profile.
The 2012 Toyota Hilux Facelift manages to satisfy a wider clientele as it offers a choice of two engines, three body types, manual and automatic transmission and two- or four-wheel drive. A 24 HP increase in power is possible due to the introduction of variable nozzle turbocharging with the engine developing 144 HP at 3,600 rpm and 343 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The vehicle ground clearance was improved by the robust chassis design of 4WD models, which was attached to the Hilux 2012 2WD versions. The adoption of a Diesel Particulate Filter allowed that both 2.5 D-4D and 3.0 d-4D be Euro 5 compliant.
The Hilux 2012 will be available in 36 European countries, and more than 135 throughout the world.
