Japanese specialists from Toyota Motorsport GmbH have decided to offer more information on their new Sports 650 concept, which has as base the pre-facelift version of the Lexus LS. According to the specialists, the model is both comfortable on the road and on the track. The engineers have provided an aggressive body kit that includes a new front bumper, a revised grille and also a ventilated hood. Of course, this is not all. The new TMG Sports 650 Concept also features a new rear bumper with an integrated diffuser; carbon fiber side skirts and a four-tailpipe exhaust system are also on the list.
Under the hood it hides a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine capable of generating 650 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque. To transfer all this output to the wheels, the engineers have provided an improved 8-speed automatic transmission. This enables the sedan to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and to reach a top speed off 320 km/h. We have to admit the fact that the specialists have proved to be very talented and give them credit for the new Toyota Motorsport GmbH Sports 650 Concept.
TMG will present several high-performance vehicles at the Essen Motor Show and one of the highlights will be the TS030 Hybrid which won three races for Toyota Racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship using a unique hybrid power train, for that matter. The Sport 650 concept is intended to push the limits of performance in all areas. The Essen Motor Show is the perfect opportunity for the Japanese specialists to introduce it to the world. It is capable of great performance, but the reaction of the public is actually the most important thing. We will know more at a later date, until then, please check out the photo gallery below.
