Earlier this year, in March, at the Geneva Motor Show, German carmaker Volkswagen, with its commercial vehicle division revealed for the first time a preview of the Amarok Canyon Edition concept. Its style and configurations are perfect for the ones that enjoy outdoor activities and sports. Now, time has come for the carmaker to offer us a production version of the model. The ones interested had the opportunity to see it for the first time as a production model this week at the IAA Commercial Vehicle Show in Hanover, Germany. The specialists managed to keep all the key features of the concept.
Some of them are the Copper orange paint scheme that includes gloss black accents and the 17-inch Roca alloy wheels covered in 245/70 R17 AT-tires. On the loading area we can also see that the styling bars remained the same. The rear light clusters were darkened and the carmaker also kept the wheel arches painted in black. The concept used to send the power to the road through 18-inch wheels and the specialists offer them now as options together with the roof lamp bar. The new Volkswagen Amarok Conyon Edition received different elements for the interior in terms of color scheme.
Let us take as example the sun visor of the instrument panel which is painted in contrasting matt chrome. The partially leather seats have two-tone coloring. On the seats you can see a decorative stitching. Also, the engineers have offered 3-spoke leather steering wheel and the gear lever is also covered in leather that has the same color as the body of the vehicle. In terms of engine, the specialists will offer it with two TDi units combine with permanent or on-demand four-wheel drive and as option, differential lock in the rear axle. The European customers should expect to receive it at the beginning of 2013.
