Volkswagen CC facelift

The 2012 Volkswagen CC facelift boasts a new front and rear styling, making a step forward in the automotive luxury class. The Volkswagen CC had its world premiere some years ago as the first four-door coupe in the 30,000 to 40,000 euro class. It aimed to reach those drivers who wanted to feel the unique charm that only a coupe could provide. This visually and technically updated version integrates new bi-xenon headlights, a new LED tail light design and static cornering lights. The standard features include safety head restraints with additional longitudinal adjustment, stainless steel door sill plates, RCD 310 radio-CD system and fatigue detection. Its new assistance systems incorporate optional technologies, such as Side Assist Plus with Dynamic Light Assist and Lane Assist. The climate seat comprising massage fun optimises comfort, while power is delivered by innovative petrol and diesel direct-injection engines. Battery regeneration mode and Stop/Start system are fitted as standard for all the diesels, while the petrol engines also feature battery regeneration functionality. The petrol engines in the USA deliver an impressive output of 147 kW / 200 PS (TSI) and 206 kW / 280 PS (FSI) and the TDI engines produce an output of 103 kW / 140 PS and 125 kW/170 PS. The world debut of the Volkswagen CC is planned to take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show with the market sales beginning shortly after.
