Volkswagen Touareg Edition X

Back in 2002, German carmaker Volkswagen displayed for the first time the Touareg Mk1 at the Paris Motor Show and entered it in the mid-size crossover segment. For its 10th anniversary, Volkswagen specialists have prepared a limited edition version of its 2nd generation mode. It is called the X, which is the Roman symbol for ten and it offers a lot of special features. For example, on the exterior, the new Volkswagen Edition X is painted in a Moonlight Blue Pearl Effect and to transfer the power to the road, the engineers have provided 19-inch Moab alloy wheels. The list of features continues with a large panoramic sun roof, bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and darkened LED rear light clusters, but also silver anodized roof rails, all offered as standard.

The Volkswagen Edition X features the Chrome and Style designer pack, Touareg X logos on the wings and tinted side and rear windows. For the interior, the specialists have offered a cabin in amber brown Nappa leather trim for the special edition that has a new style of braid embossed finish. For the doors and instrument panel the specialists have offered decorative inlays in real ebony. This is not all. The new model is available with illuminated front door sills with Touareg letters, for extra excitement. For the interior, the carmaker also provided color-coordinated decorative stitching on the leather steering wheel, gear lever gaiter and fabric floor mats.

The European customers can purchase the Volkswagen Edition X with a choice of five engine and transmission combinations. Here we can find a hybrid version that has a starting price of EUR61.025 in Germany. It uses a V6 TDI BlueMotion Technology capable of developing 201 horsepower. All the output is being sent to the wheels through an 8- speed automatic gearbox. These are all the information available on the new German model.
