Abarth 500 Corsa Stradale by Zender

The tuning field is continuously submitted to change, to novelties, to expressing feelings and to unleash imagination. There are plenty of tuning companies which try to hold on to the competition. Many succeed, many don’t. A tuning company with its ups and downs is the German firm, Zender. They stopped work in 2008 but it seems that they are now back in business. And they launch again their activity with a tuning program for the Abarth 500 Corsa Stradale.

Zender has just presented the upgrading program for the Abarth 500 Corsa Stradale at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The concept car has a very aggressive body kit. The vehicle rides on a set of 18 inch alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Black performance rubbers sized 215/35 ZR 18. Zender provides a lowering sports suspension system and equips the inside of the car with stainless steel pedals, illuminated door sill strips and custom sports seats.

The Abarth 500 Corsa Stradale is powered by the 4-cylinder 1.6-liter turbocharged engine which has been upgraded by the specialists at Zender so that it now produces 236 bhp (176 kW) and 247 lb-ft (335 Nm) of torque. This can only happen thanks to a larger turbocharger, a bigger fuel pressure regulator and an engine update.   As a consequence, the small car can sprint the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 6.5 seconds and it can reach a maximum speed of 144 mph (232 km/h). The vehicle looks quite nice, but it remains to be seen how much fame it will bring to the reinvented Zender.
