The Italian brand Alfa Romeo worked on a compact super car which represents the true essence of a sports car, according to the brand's values, performance, Italian style and technical excellence aimed at maximum driving pleasure in total safety. This car is the Alfa Romeo 4C whose concept has been presented at the 2013 Geneva Auto Show. The same model will be used as safety car at FIM World Superbike Championship and details regarding it have just been released.
The exclusive Alfa Romeo 4C safety model has Italy written all over it, as the Italian flag is a pretty suggestive mark of identity present on the body of the supercar. So, red, white and green stripes are painted on the length of the body. The vehicle is powered by a 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 240 HP (176 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. This is linked to a dual-clutch transmission which allows the car to sprint from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and to reach a maximum speed in excess of 155 mph (250 km/h).
Alfa Romeo is an important sponsor of the FIM World Superbike Championship. The event is a great opportunity to show the car to the public, since the Italian brand is thinking of introducing the coupe on the U.K. market.
