The waiting period started a long time ago, and this is when it stops. We are not talking about the new Alfa Romeo and their new development, the 4C sports coupe. There are a lot of people that believe the 8C Competizione to be more interesting, but wait to see what the 8C can do. According to the carmaker, the new model will available for order starting next month. The carmaker will reveal it for the US market for the first time at the 2013 edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show. Only then will the manufacturer reveal details regarding prices and final specifications for all markets. The specialists that will develop it work at the Maserati plant in Modena, Italy and according to them it will be a great supercar, if you know what we mean.
The Europeans will get 4C model for an estimated price of EUR60.000. In case you are the ones interested in owning one please know that in measures around 4 meters in length. The monocoque of the Alfa Romeo 4C is made of carbon fiber and it has a composite body. Under the hood it will hide a 1.75-liter turbocharged inline four capable of generating 236 horsepower. The carmaker will build only 3.500 units and 1.000 will be made for the European market. All will be equipped with the Alfa TCT dry twin clutch automatic gearbox which will send the output to the rear wheels.
The engineers will offer instrument panel TFT technology and turbo pressure, Gmeter gauges and oil temperature. Moving on, we have to mention leather steering wheel with shift paddles, fabric stats, grey brake calipers and also twin exhaust pipes all offered as standard. Other elements offered also include carbon fiber headlights, racing exhausts and also a racing suspension set-up.
