Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake by Bertone

The Geneva Motor Show is the place where every car maker, every car tuner, every company related somehow to car change and evolution wants to glitter and wants to show the best it is capable of doing.

Next week in Geneva, Bertone, the Italian company specialized in car styling, will reveal its latest work, the one-off Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake concept. In 2004, Bertone has created the Jet 2 concept, a shooting brake variant based on the Aston Martin Vanquish. Employing this Vanquish model whose lines were more readily made for shooting brake adaptation has resulted in a vehicle that we find far better looking than its predecessor. And this new vehicle is entitled Jet 2+ 2, or Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake. This is also the work that seals sixty years of collaboration between Bertone and Aston Martin.

Aston Martin Rapide has the same basic Aston Martin’s look, having the same dimensions and mechanical aspects as the standard Rapide. In conclusion, it hasn’ t adopted anything from the most recently presented powerful Rapide S.

Aston Martin Rapide Shooting Brake benefits of a V12 470 horsepower engine, a LED strip that connects the taillights and for a permanent movement impression, even when the car is parked, the C- pillars are bent forward and connect to the muscular and tall wheel arches.

The inside cockpit has fold- flat rear seats in order for the passengers who sit in the back to have more room. It also helps to create an enlarged rear quarter for more luggage room. The two- tone leather combined with aluminium and wood offer it something special comparing with the basic version of the car. And that’ s how the Aston Martin Rapide becomes simply gorgeous, having it all: power, beauty and soul.
