Especially for the 2013 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, British carmaker Aston Martin has unveiled the new Gulf livery for their car. The Number 97 Vantage GTE will wear the colors throughout race week as the car prepares to compete in the 90th edition of the race. The drivers that will stand behind the wheel are Darren Turner, Stefan Mucke and Peter Dumbreck.
The color was prepared by Jonathan Wesley who declared that he designed the livery using the four Gulf colors arranged from lightest to dark. On the right side the car was painted white and the left was painted dark blue to symbolize the change in race conditions from daylight to dusk. The Global Brand Manager explained that Gulf has been responsible for some extremely iconic motorsport liveries and they wanted to offer fans the opportunity to play their part. This livery will enter the in the history of the Gulf and Aston Martin and Jonathan should be extremely proud to be the winner, as he has hundreds of entries from all around the globe. Aston Martin is pleased with the results and they are looking forward into taking it to the track for the most incredible endurance race of the year. This new model has been seen on the Circuit de la Sarthe at the first free practice session, for the first time.
