Audi AS6-R by ABT

The rougher the challenge between the car makers is, the rougher the competition between the tuning companies becomes. Germany is the place where everything concerning automobiles and car components is possible. Everyone tries to be the best. It is the only way to win the battle. ABT Sportsline is one of the most successful German tuning companies that can take every possible challenge. Their last project is the Audi AS6-R.

The Audi AS6-R is based on the Audi S6 Avant, which is a high-performance sports car for everyday use and which reunites the perfect balance between looking aggressive and elegant. ABT Sportsline equipped the Audi with some updated side skirts, a rear bumper insert and a rear spoiler made of carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is also used for the air intake surrounds and the mirror caps.  The tuning package may offer on request a set of 21 inch alloy wheels and a sports exhaust system.

As ABT Sportsline is a complex tuning company, they also worked on upgrading the engine.  So the Audi AS6-R is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine which is assisted by new turbochargers and an optimized ECU. It generates 600 HP (441 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. This is a significant increase of 180 HP (132 kW) and 200 Nm (147 lb-ft) from the production model. This allows the vehicle to sprint the 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 12.9 seconds and to reach an electronically-limited maximum speed of 310 km/h (192 mph). The ABT AS6-R combines lifestyle and dynamics with the characteristics of a real family estate car and this is the ideal combination that covers all life situations.
