When a German tunes another German we get something extraordinary. And we are talking here about the tuning company OK- Chiptuning and the super famous brand Audi. The world of cars is one that is continuously changing. Car manufacturers become better as time passes, each wanting to be the best and their unique goal is to create the car that gets closer and closer to perfection. And this also holds true for the tuning companies, of course, being the case of OK- Chiptuning too, whose latest project is an aftermarket program for the Audi R8.
The experiment car, if we could name it like this, upon which OK- Chiptuning has been working on, is a 2010 Audi R8 V10 R-Tronic. The vehicle wears a phantom black metallic paint and what the tuning firm did was to apply some software optimization and other hardware tricks on the vehicle. This is how the R8 got itself an increase in power from 520 HP (382 kW) and 530 Nm (390 lb-ft) to 620 HP (456 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft).
OK- Chiptuning also worked on the gearbox system of the Audi R8, reducing shifting times. This allows the car to run 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) in just 6.9 seconds. The car also received some new elements. Worth mentioning are the GT inspired taillights, a carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser and some KW springs. On the whole, the tuning company created a nice tuning program that refreshes the Audi R8.
