German carmaker Audi developed a new model, the 2013 Audi RS5 Cabrio and unveiled it before its official debut at the Paris Motor Show. Their new convertible achievement looks a lot like the coupe. The lightweight soft top is actually quite easy to open and fast also. It only takes 15 seconds to be opened if the car is travelling with speeds up to 50 km/h. The German engineers have equipped the model with LED-infused headlights, matte aluminum trim and to send the power to the road, the model uses 19-inch forged wheels.
The list of new features continues with a dual exhaust system, carbon fiber rear spoiler and a rear diffuser. Special reinforcements contribute to the high rigidity of the convertible body and aluminum front fenders compensate for some of the added weight of the reinforcements. The soft top is offered in gray, black, brown and also red. If the customer wants, the carmaker can install a styling package in matt aluminum as well as an engine compartment design package. For the interior, the specialists have prepared metallic accents, carbon fiber trim, a flat-bottom steering wheel and also leather or Alcantara sport seats. For the ones that really think is not enough, Audi also prepared a driver infotainment system, heated front seats and a wind deflector. There are RS logos on the backs of the seats, the aluminum inlays in the door sill plates, the steering wheel and the gear selector grip of the 7-speed S Tronic. The Audi exclusive program offers many other customization options.
Under the hood, the new 2013 Audi RS5 Cabrio hides a 4.2-liter V8 engine capable of developing 450 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. To transfer the output to the wheels, the German engineers have prepared a 7-speed S Tronic transmission and a rear-based Quattro all-wheel drive system. All this being said, it is also important to mention that the new 2013 Audi RS5 Cabrio is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and of reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. For the drivers that can never have enough in terms of power, they should know that upon request, the top speed can be extended to 280 km/h. The carmaker decided to offer the 2013 Audi RS5 Cabrio for purchase at the beginning of 2013. The price was established for EUR 88.500 for the German customers.
