The second generation Audi RS6 Avant has been released a few years ago, in 2008 in France. The model received a bi-turbo 5.0-liter V10 engine capable of generating 572 horsepower. Now the German carmaker has prepared a new model, the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant and according to one automotive enthusiast and specialist, who had the chance to drive them both, the new 2013 version is better. Now, under the hood it hides a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine capable of generating 552 horsepower and 516 lb. ft. of torque. To transfer all this power to the wheels, the engineers have offered an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The output mentioned enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds and to reach a top speed of 174 mph. if you need more power, you can always choose the Dynamic Package Plus which will increase the output to 190 mph. This package includes carbon ceramic brake disks, a rear sport differential, RS sport suspension plus with dynamic ride control, dynamic steering, full LED headlights and a lot more.
To transfer the output to the road the model uses 21-inch Pirelli P Zero tires. When it comes to load flexibility, the 2013 Audi RS6 Avant also has a floor cargo net, a low load barrier on aluminum runners to keep everything from flying forward on hard stops, a vertical separation net and a cargo-hiding retractable cover. The base price was established to start at $107.000 for the US if it will ever arrive here. The test car had a price starting at $130.000. When it comes to fuel consumption, the new 2013 model reaches 17 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. This is all for now folks. Please check out the photo gallery below.
