Audi RS6 Avant Plus

In case you have not noticed yet, German carmaker like power more than premium pricing and very complicated features. For them, power is the first thing on their mind. This is actually a relatively new thing as it goes back around twenty years and now we can see most German companies trying to push the limits with every new model.

This being the topic, we have to mention the Audi RS6 Avant. It has a lot of interior space and it is actually a mid-size station wagon capable of offering all the comfort elements to can think off and then some more. Under the hood it hides a 4.2-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine capable of producing 552 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. This output enables the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and depending on the package, to reach a top speed of 250 km/h, 280 km/h or 305 km/h. We have to admit that this is very impressive.

The German manufacturer Audi thinks that there is always place for more. This is how they came up with the Audi RS6 Avant Plus. One Audi official offered us some info on their new model, and the power produced. To really see the difference it has to be 8 to 10 % more powerful and this is why the car will hide under its hood more than 600 horsepower.

We saw the first Plus model built as a limited edition for the RS6 Mk1 in 2004. This model received a 30 BHP increase. The second generation RS6 Plus featured the same 572 V10 unit as the standard model, but had added new equipment elements. Audi also offers Plus variants of the Audi R8 V10 with a weight reduction of 50 kg and with more power in comparison to the regular V10. The Audi TT RS will receive extra 20 horsepower and a lot of equipment elements.
