Audi S8 by MTM

Probably the most spread vehicles around the world are the German cars. Everywhere we go we bump into Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes, Opel or Audi vehicles. So it’s no wonder that the tuning field has these brands as main characters. The market is invaded by tuning programs for these vehicles. Yet, new ones still appear and it seems that tuners never get tired of creating something new for them. It is also the case of MTM, a tuning company which has just came up with a new tuning program for the Audi S8.

The tuning program that MTM has to offer can be bought as a whole, or as separate elements. For 4,500 EUR the client can buy a stainless steel exhaust system. For other 6,700 EUR the customer can add a high-performance braking system. The new set of 21-inch MTM bimoto alloy wheels cost around 5,800EUR. For some extra 1,750 EUR the Audi S8 can be equipped with an F-Cantronic air suspension, which has the job of reducing the car’s height by 25mm at the front and by 20mm at the back.

The strong piece of the tuning programs can be found under the hood. The Audi S8 is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that generates 650 HP (478 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. This means an increase of 130 HP (110 kW) and 150 Nm (110 lb-ft) of torque from the stock version. This allows the vehicle to sprint from 0-100 km/h in four seconds before reaching an electronically-limited maximum speed of 293 km/h (182 mph). The completed vehicle is on sale and the correct sum one has to pay for it is around €155,000 ($207,050). So, judge the figures and decide for yourselves if the investment is a good one.
