Apparently B&B specialists have developed a new tuning program and this time it is for the Audi SQ5 TDI. The model is currently capable of generating 313 horsepower from the diesel engine and 650 Nm of torque. This output enables it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 5.0 seconds and to reach an electronically limited speed of 250 km/h. The tuners have recognized the capabilities of the 3.0-liter unit and this is why they have decided to develop a specially made performance level for the sportive self-igniting engine.
Thanks to the new program, the engine is now capable of generating 340 horsepower and a maximum of 720 Nm of torque. How did they do it? Well, apparently, the engineers have improved the output of the new SQ5 by changing air pressure and by reprogramming the characteristic maps of the engine. The Level 1 B&B offers 365 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. In this case, the maps have been characterized by changing air pressure slightly boosted and the electronics adapted. The top performance level produces 400 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This transformation costs around EUR 4.950 and it includes B&B special injection elements, optimized suction lines, air ducts and charging air cooling system.
The tuners have also provided a complete aerodynamic package which includes a new front fender skirt with big air inlets, a set of mud guard extensions and a complete rear fender skirt. To transfer the output to the road, the engineers have used 22-inch wheels covered in Michelin tires that measure 265 / 30 R22. These are the details available for the moment on the model and its new tuning package, but stay close for more.
