Bentley Continental GT3

There are many unique characteristics that define a Bentley. It is handcrafted luxury, distinctive design, breathtaking power and performance, a refined and exhilarating driving experience. And it is exactly the combination of these characteristics that makes this brand so unique. The British company has made very clear the intentions of manufacturing a Bentley Continental GT3 race car. And the intentions have become reality and the race car is about to be introduced at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

The 2012 Paris Motor was the event that hosted the concept that previewed the Bentley Continental GT3. The vehicle will certainly prove to have a high performance potential as this is in the genes of every Continental GT. The car has a double wishbone suspension, competition brakes and four way changeable dampers. It is also offered with a roll cage, a carbon fiber racing seat and a nice designed steering wheel.

The Bentley Continental GT3 will be powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that is linked to a six-speed sequential racing transmission which sends power to the rear wheels. Performance figures are still unknown. What is remarkable is the fact that the race car will have less than a 1000 kg (2205 lbs) weight compared to the regular model. We’ll just have to wait and see how the vehicle will act near other Goodwood stars like the Continental GT Speed Coupe, the Continental GT Speed Convertible, the Flying Spur and the Speed 8.
